If you enjoy helping family and friends resolve computer problems, or simply love learning new technology, you can turn your interest into an exciting information technology career! In only seven months, MTTI will train you to work as an entry-level Computer and Network Support Technician. Employment of computer support specialists is projected to grow 12 percent from 2014 to 2024, faster than the average for all occupations. 1
Hands-On Training Taught by Industry Experienced/Certified Instructors
Through a combination of classroom and hands-on training—all taught by your primary instructor—you’ll gain the skills to assemble, configure, troubleshoot and manage PCs and networks. Computer Tech and Networking graduates work for businesses, schools, and health care organizations, in both field support and help desk environments.
Build Your Own Computer
When you obtain training related employment within 90 days after graduation, you’ll be eligible to keep the computer you build during class as a tool bonus.
MTTI is a CompTIA Authorized Partner Program
CompTIA recognizes MTTI as a training facility that provides the most comprehensive certification exam preparation. During the program, you will be preparing for CompTia A+ Certification, which is a credential that is highly valued by many employers.
CompTIA A+ Certification is the industry standard for computer support technicians. Two exams are necessary to be certified:
- Assemble components based on customer requirements
- Install, configure, and maintain PCs, mobile devices, and software for end users
- Understand the basics of networking and security forensics
- Properly and safely diagnose, resolve, and document common hardware and software issues
- Apply troubleshooting skills
- Provide appropriate customer support
- Understand the basics of scripting, virtualization, desktop imaging, and deployment
CompTIA A+ 220-1001 covers Mobile Devices, Networking, Hardware, Virtualization & Cloud Computing, and Hardware & Network Troubleshooting
CompTIA A+ 220-1002 covers Operating Systems, Security, Software Troubleshooting and Operational Procedures
