MTTI Receives School of Excellence Award
MTTI Vice President, Sharon Ring and Financial Manager, Kathy Trahan accepted a 2015-2016 School of Excellence Award from the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) at the Professional Development Conference in San Diego, CA on September 21-23, 2016. The award, which recognizes schools for their commitment to the expectations and rigors of ACCSC accreditation, as well as efforts in maintaining high-levels of achievement among their students, is the organization’s highest honor.
During 2015, Alyssa Linkamper, Marine Service Technician graduate, was selected by the ACCSC as the Outstanding Graduate Award Recipient. MTTI has been recognized, during its 2005-2016 and 2010-2011 re-accreditations as a School of Distinction.
The ACCSC is dedicated to establishing and maintaining high educational standards and ethical business practices among its approximately 685 accredited institutions1. To be eligible for the School of Excellence Award, an ACCSC-accredited institution must meet the conditions of renewing accreditation without any finding of non-compliance, satisfy all requirements necessary to be in good standing with the Commission, and demonstrate that the majority of the schools’ student graduation and graduate employment rates for all programs offered meet or exceed the average rates of graduation and employment among all ACCSC-accredited institutions.
MTTI attributes our recognition as a School of Excellence to our graduates’ achievements, together with the passion and commitment of Program Advisory Committee members, employers, and MTTI Staff and Instructors.
